Key responsibilities: 
In this role you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities and understand how business questions can be supported with machine learning. You will join a team of four full-time employees specialised in data science, ML engineering, and data governance as well as two student assistants. Your role will cover the areas of time series forecasting, advanced analytics on financial instruments and market drivers, front-end visualisations and scenario testing. You will be developing new analytical products as well as managing existing ones. You will make sure your models stay relevant to the market conditions, and you will present information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders. Moreover, you are encouraged to bring up new ideas and contribute to the overall development and enhancement of MB Shipbrokers’ data science capabilities.

Your qualifications and approach: 
We are looking for a committed colleague who is organised, structured and thrives in building insightful, data driven solutions to be presented to stakeholders in a correct and timely manner. We find that your passion for data science and ability to learn quickly is more important than extensive experience. Your technical expertise regarding data exploration, data mining and analysis on both cleaned and unstructured data will lead you to build solid solutions, and your communication and reporting skills will lead to successful implementations of the team’s deliveries. Your background is a higher education in a quantitative field, e.g., STEM, Data Science, Economics, or similar, and you will have no problem in communicating fluently in spoken and written English.
