Student Assistant - IT & Digitalisation

Are you interested in digitalisation, business processes and how technology can make everyday work easier?

Would you like to gain hands-on experience in an international shipbroking company?

And do you enjoy working with both people, systems and practical problem-solving?

We are looking for a Student Assistant to join our IT & Digitalisation team in Copenhagen. You will become part of a team working to support, improve and develop digital solutions for colleagues across MB Shipbrokers globally.

This is a student role for someone who is structured, eager to learn and interested in how digital tools can create real value in an organisation. You do not need to know shipping already, but you should have an interest in understanding business needs and helping turn them into practical digital solutions.

We offer

With MB Shipbrokers, you become part of a global shipbroking company with more than a century of experience, a worldwide presence and a strong dedication to our customers.

You will join our IT & Digitalisation team, which develops and maintains internal digital solutions based on actual needs from the organisation. We work closely with colleagues across departments and offices to understand their daily work, identify opportunities for improvement and provide tools that create value in practice.

Our office in Copenhagen is close to Østerport station, the city and the sea. We have our own canteen serving freshly made food every day, Wednesday workouts, changing facilities and occasional social events.

Key responsibilities

As Student Assistant in IT & Digitalisation, you will support the team in our daily work with internal digital solutions and applications.

More specifically, you will help with:

· Supporting and improving internal digital solutions used across the organisation

· Assisting with user guides, documentation, training material and onboarding activities

· Helping colleagues use applications and digital tools effectively

· Testing new features and system updates

· Collecting and structuring user feedback

· Supporting smaller digitalisation tasks and projects based on actual needs from the business

The role will give you insight into how IT and digitalisation support a global business, and how needs from the organisation are translated into useful tools and improvements.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a student who is reliable, structured and comfortable working with both people and systems.

You may be studying IT, Digitalisation, Business Administration, Communication, Data Analytics, Innovation, Information Management or a similar relevant degree.

To be successful in the role, you ideally:

· Have an interest in digitalisation, business processes and internal systems

· Are structured and detail-oriented

· Communicate clearly in written and spoken English

· Appreciate helping others and understanding their needs

· Are comfortable working with digital tools and willing to learn new systems

· Can work independently while also being a team player

· Have an analytical mindset and enjoy solving practical problems

Experience with data, databases, SQL, system testing, process mapping or documentation is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Most importantly, you have a positive mindset, a willingness to learn and an interest in developing digital solutions that support real needs and create value for colleagues.

At MB Shipbrokers, we believe that diverse teams drive better outcomes. We strongly encourage applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of gender, background or identity.
