Data Governance Analyst to drive data culture, quality & collaboration

At MB Shipbrokers, we’re looking for a Data Governance Analyst who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help us build a smarter, cleaner, and more connected data landscape. 

In this role, you’ll be implementing shared data processes to secure solid data collection and quality across our systems and value streams. You’ll be a key player in driving and evolving our governance framework connecting with teams across the business to make sure everyone is on board and aligned. Your aim will be to make data approachable for everyone - whether they’re sitting in a commercial role advising clients, researching the shipping market, or building advance data products. 

We have a hands-on approach to data governance. It is not just about rules and frameworks; it’s about building a culture and show value by examples. Some days you might digging deep into locating and correcting data issues and other days you’ll be designing data quality measurements, facilitating data talks and trainings, or defining business logics and metadata standards together with our data owners. 

We are a team of four full-time employees each bringing different educational backgrounds and perspectives to the table. What unites us is a shared passion for working with data combining data governance and data science to create meaningful impact. We believe in supporting each other as we set ambitious goals, embrace continuous learning, and take time to connect on a personal level. If you forget the time and are running late for lunch one day, we’ll make sure to save you a seat.
